Calendar Reminders
Representatives from the Automotive Training Center will visit Wyncote on Wednesday, October 29 at 9:30 AM. Students interested in attending the seminar should add their name to the sign-up sheet located outside of Ms. Lexie's office.
Friday, October 31 is the last day of the 1st Quarter. Please use Gradelink to stay up to date on your student's progress.
Representatives from Lincoln Tech will visit Wyncote on Tuesday, November 4 at 9:30 AM.
(Please note: Wyncote is open on Tuesday, November 4. While some schools are closed due to being voting centers, attendance is mandatory for our students.)
School will be closed on Tuesday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.
For our recently added families, I have attached a copy of the school calendar.
Benefit Concert
A Holiday Concert in honor of our late Head of School, Mr. Mark Linkins, will be held on Sunday, November 30 in the auditorium at 7605 Old York Road. The auditorium is located across the parking lot from Wyncote Academy. The proceeds of the concert will benefit our school.

Monday, October 20 - Representatives from Orleans Tech will visit Wyncote at 10 AM to speak with our high school students
Wednesday, October 22 - Rescheduled seminar for The Beauty Institute at 11 AM
Wednesday, October 29 - Representatives from Automative Training Center will visit Wyncote at 9:30 AM to speak with our high school students.
Sign-up sheets for these seminars are posted outside of Ms. Lexie's office. If you have other ideas or suggestions for career seminars, please contact Ms. Lexie (agallen@wyncoteacademy.org).

Coming soon, we will have school themed apparel available for sale at school and on our website (www.wyncoteacademy.org). All proceeds will be used to fund student field trips and activities.

Good morning, Wyncote families,
Calendar Reminder
Tomorrow, Monday, October 13, representatives from Temple University will visit Wyncote to speak with our 11th and 12th grade students.
Friday, October 17 is an In-Service day for the faculty and staff. Students will work asynchronously at home. Hard copies of the assignments will be provided to the students this week. Students will not need Chromebooks to complete the work. The assignments will be due on Monday, October 20.
Athletics
The Wyncote Academy Lions led by Mr. Pete will start their basketball season on Wednesday, December 3. Required physical forms must be submitted for the student athletes to participate.

Academic Reminder
The first marking period ends on Friday, October 31. The students have the opportunity through the end of the quarter to submit missing assignments. If you or your student has any questions, please contact our teachers. Teacher emails can be accessed through Gradelink (www.gradelink.com) or our school's website (www.wyncoteacademy.org).

October 13: Representatives from Temple University visit Wyncote. All students in the 11th and 12th grade will participate.
October 17: Professional Development Day. Students will work asynchronously from home. Hard copies of the work will be provided to the students.
October 20: Representatives from Lincoln Tech visit Wyncote. Students must sign up by October 16 to participate in the seminar.
October 31: End of the 1st Quarter.

Please visit www.gradelink.com often to track your student's grades. If you are interested in viewing your student's Google Classrooms, please reply to this email and I will send you the login information.

Calendar Reminder
School is CLOSED on Thursday, October 2 in observance of Yom Kippur.
Interim Reports
Interim Reports mark the midpoint of the marking period. The reports will be mailed this week. They include the students' current grades and narratives from their teachers. To stay up to date on your student's grades, please visit Gradelink and Google Classroom often.
Activity Reward Afternoon
On Wednesday, October 1, Mr. Pete is planning a fun afternoon of activities including flag football. The only requirements to participate are passing grades and completed assignments. The students have the next four days to complete missing assignments. Our teachers would be thrilled to assist!
From the Counselor's Office
Our Guidance Counselor, Ms. Lexie, is busy scheduling guests to speak with our students about post-secondary opportunities. All high school students are welcome to participate. Sign-up sheets are posted outside of Ms. Lexie's office.

Calendar Reminder
School will be CLOSED on Tuesday, September 23 in observance of Rosh Hashanah.
Interim Reports
At the midpoint of each marking period, interim reports are sent home. The teachers provide written insight into student performance. The interim reports will be mailed home on September 30. The 1st Quarter ends on October 31.
Back-To-School Night
There was a terrific turnout on Thursday evening. Thank you everyone who was able to attend! We love hosting and interacting with our families. For those who were unable to make it, we will be mailing home the documents that were distributed.
Holiday Concert Fundraiser
I am excited to announce that there will be a Holiday Concert held at the Auditorium in the former Gratz College building on November 30. It is being organized by Ms. Bernice Goll in honor of the late Mr. Mark Linkins. The proceeds and donations will go to Wyncote Academy. In addition to being a great man, Mr. Mark was a fantastic musician, composer, and conductor. His music and holiday classics will be celebrated. As more details and ticket information becomes available, I will be sharing it with you.

Back to School Night
This coming Thursday, September 18 will be Back to School Night at Wyncote Academy. We will begin at 7 PM in the school cafeteria. All families and students are welcome to attend. You will have the opportunity to visit our classrooms and speak with our teachers. We hope to see you!
Gradelink
Gradelink (www.gradelink.com) is our on-line gradebook. I have sent the log-in information to your email. The email will be addressed from Gradelink. You may need to check your spam folder. Gradelink allows you to view your students' grades, upcoming assignments, and email the teachers.
12th Grade
Graduation pictures will be taken on Tuesday, December 9. The cost of the pictures is covered by the students' tuition. Digital copies will be sent to the families when ready. Thank you to Ms. Bernie Goll for volunteering her services to Wyncote Academy in honor of Mr. Mark Linkins.
